In my daily time with the Lord, my prayer time follows a similar
daily pattern. I pray ACTS: Adoration, Confessions, Thanksgiving,
Supplication. I begin my time with the Lord by simply praising and
adoring God for who He is. His awesome characteristics. For me, I often
look at the nature around me and adore God as the Creator who is
intimately involved in all of His creation. I have found that this time
of adoration reconnects me with God and enables me to greater “love the
Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your mind.” (Matthew 22:37)

With a mind that more purely loves God, I find it then enables the
confession, thanksgiving, and supplication (requests) to be deeper and
more impactful. I have greater, godly sorrow for my sins and
shortcomings, allowing me to confess them to God in greater quantity,
with greater transparency and humility. I am more thankful for His many
blessings in my life and the lives of others. Finally, I have a deeper
burden to seek His face and His will for my needs and the needs of others.

What brings adoration of God to your heart? On Sunday, I opened the
message with the question, “What do you love about Christ?” What you
love about Him ought to bring adoration to your heart! Below you will
see those things listed that you said you love about Christ? Is there
anything else you would add to the list? I encourage you to take time
today and meditate on what you love about Christ. May it bring adoration
to your heart!
